The rubber smallholders have poor technical knowledge from planting of planting of a rubber plant to production. Therefore, the Thurusaviya fund has conducted training and awareness programmes in collaboration with the officials of Rubber Research Institute and rubber Development department and the farmers have been provided with new technical knowledge.
